Carlos Hernández Peña,born in Mexico City, poet, translator, and author of Moonmilkand Other Poems (Ragged Sky Press, 2006). Organized Voices (a multicultural poetry series) at the Princeton Public Library. Work has appeared in Drunken Boat, Fox Chase Review, US1 Worksheets, Hayden’s Ferry Review, and other journals. Behind God’s Back (Ragged Sky Press, 2015) was a project to bring the Hungarian poetry of Sandor Kanyadi from the English translation of Paul Sohar in a bilingual edition (English-Spanish, with two other writers from Colombia and Spain). In 2016 at Gallery 14 (Hopewell, NJ), Descent, a narrative poem was presented in collaboration with an exhibit of photographs by Larry Parsons. In 2017 in collaboration with John Burkhalter and Berthalicia Harvey presented Incantations: Words and Music from the Land of the Jaguar at the Princeton Public Library. Carlos works for the Segal Company, Employee Benefits consultants and actuaries in Princeton, New Jersey.
