Reimagining the Arctic
Embark on an expedition aboard the MS National Geographic Explorer to Arctic Svalbard with cultural geographer Kevin S. Fox. The polar north entered the popular “geographical imagination” first through the accounts of 19th and early 20th century explorers. For many it was the last terra incognita of our planet. The Arctic is currently at the center of climate change and geopolitical debate. Mr. Fox, a 2019 National Geographic Grosvenor Teacher Fellow, traveled to this Norwegian archipelago in June 2019 and shares with us how this experience has forced him to reimagine the Arctic.

Refreshments will be served. A good will donation is suggested to cover the expenses of the program.

Seating is limited. You must reserve your spot by completing the online registration form here.
