Newtown Library Company’s Penn Chair Travel Series presents: Irene & Arthur Rodgers, Amazon River, and Galapagos Islands
Where: Newtown Library Company
When: May 18, 2018 @ 7PM
Who: Irene & Arthur Rodgers
Where can you see pink dolphins, three-toed sloths and plum throated katingas, eat manyuk and pirhana, drink pisco sours and Iquitena while cruising on an old tugboat named Cielito Lindo? On the Amazon river, of course. Join us on our adventure into the beautiful Peruvian rain forest and down the river.
They will also share their experience in the Galapagos, an archipelago of volcanic islands distributed on either side of the Equator in the Pacific Ocean. The islands are known for their vast number of endemic species which were studied by Charles Darwin. From there, we will follow their journey along the Amazon, the largest river in the world.
A suggested $5 donation to the Newtown Library Company is requested to offset the cost of refreshments provided after each presentation. Please reserve your seat by calling the Library at (215)968-7659 or emailing librarian@newtownlibrary.com.
