It was a beautiful day at the 5K on Market Day! The NLC board expresses our sincere thanks to our sponsors and we encourage our membership and community to patronize them whenever possible.
We would also like to recognize Greenhouse Developers for supplying water for the event, Picollo Trattoria for supplying the prize winner gift cards and Shady Brook Farms for their table decorations.
It takes many hands, from sponsors to road marshals and countless event volunteers to make a successful event. We especially want to thank our Borough Police Department, notably Corporal Warunek who worked with us organizing all the safety factors needed for the runners. Thank you ALL!

About the 5K Run/Walk
When: October 2, 2021, race start @ 9AM
Where: 114 E. Centre Ave., Newtown, PA 18940 (The Newtown Library Company)
Sign up through Active.com!
Online registration closes at 5 pm on 10/1/21. Walk-up registration will be available from 8-9 am outside of the library on Saturday, October 2.
Prefer to sign up in person? Complete the registration form and mail or drop off your payment at the library.
Run or walk on the same course with professional timing provided through Pretzel City. Fruit and water will be provided for racers, as well as t-shirts for the first 100 racers to register. Top male and female racers will receive prizes and library goodie bags will be available for children ages 13 and under.

Entry fees:
Pre-registration: $30.00 per person (ends at 5PM on 10/1/2021)
Day of registration: $35.00 per person
Group registration: $25 per person for groups of 3 or more

About Market Day and the Library Book Sale
The race ends at the library, where the Market Day activities begin! Food trucks, music, crafters, and activities for children are planned throughout the Market area. The library will have its annual book sale as well!
The library is now collecting book donations! We are accepting the following types of books in like-new or gently-used condition:
- children’s books,
- bestsellers,
- mysteries (not old),
- novels
We will NOT accept:
- textbooks,
- reference books (encyclopedias, dictionaries, etc.),
- old collections,
- magazines,
- cassettes,
- VHS tapes

Parking is available at the Northeast corner of Penn and Lincoln. On-street parking is available on North Lincoln Avenue or South Lincoln Avenue. Market Day will be on the South side of Washington Avenue, so some streets may be closed for that activity.
