SAVE THE DATE: 10/7/23 is our 5K Run/Walk for Reading on Market Day!

About the 5K Run/Walk

When: October 7, 2023, race start @ 9AM
Where: 114 E. Centre Ave., Newtown, PA 18940 (The Newtown Library Company)

Stay Tuned for Registration Opening Dates and Sign up through Active.com!

Run or walk on the same course with professional timing provided through Pretzel City. Fruit and water will be provided for racers, as well as t-shirts for the first 100 racers to register. Prizes will be awarded for top finishers and library goodie bags will be available for children ages 13 and under.

Stretch/Yoga Warm-up 8:30 am
Race Start 9 am
Awards 10 am

Book Sale 10 am – 4 pm


About Market Day and the Library Book Sale

The race ends at the library, where the Market Day activities begin! Food trucks, music, crafters, and activities for children are planned throughout the Market area. The library will have its annual book sale as well! Stay tuned for details about book donations.

Parking is available at the Northeast corner of Penn and Lincoln. On-street parking is available on North Lincoln Avenue or South Lincoln Avenue. Market Day will be on the South side of Washington Avenue, so some streets may be closed for that activity.
