The Newtown Library Company is a non-profit library, run almost entirely by volunteers and not affiliated with the local branch system. To keep our beautiful, historic library running, we rely on our membership and local businesses for support. We are always looking for new ways to bring the community together, and we strive to enrich the community through our programs and special events while also keeping a steady stream of popular bestsellers available for checkout. To that end, we need your help! Please consider making a donation or see below for more ways you can help the library!
Get Newtown Library souvenirs! Mugs, tote bags, and notecards are available for purchase. Pick up from the library or if you live in Newtown Borough, we’ll drop your items off on your porch! Click here for details.

When You Shop
The library collects McCaffrey’s receipts outside of the front entrance. We receive a 1% rebate on what you spend at McCaffrey’s Food Markets. Drop off your receipts at our front entrance or in a sealed envelope in our book return slot. Note: Receipts must be less than 3 months old.
Donate to Our Gift of Reading Fundraiser
To help us provide the newest and greatest book collection for our members, please consider making a donation for the Library to purchase books in your name or in memory of a loved one! Your donation will go directly towards our new book fund. Donate $25 for hardcovers or $15 for children’s books. Click here for details.
The library raises funds for all of our operational expenses. Throughout the year the library board, with the help of many volunteers, organizes events to raise these funds. Many fundraising events are annual and have become Newtown traditions. The library depends on the participation of our neighbors and volunteers. Join us!
