Fundraising Programs

The Newtown Library Company is a non-profit library, run almost entirely by volunteers and not affiliated with the local branch system. To keep our beautiful, historic library running, we rely on our membership and local businesses for support. With the continued challenges brought on by COVID-19, we are looking for new ways to bring the community together despite important social distancing measures. We strive to enrich the community through our programs and special events while also keeping a steady stream of popular bestsellers available for checkout. To that end, we need your help!

Please consider making a donation to the library and remembering us when you shop at McCaffrey’s Food Markets or with Amazon Smile. See below for details about all of the ways you can help the library!

Help us build our Annual Lottery Tree!

We are currently accepting donations of Lottery Tickets for our Annual Lottery Tree! Please drop your tickets off at the Library in a sealed envelope in the book return slot. We will post photos of the tree once it is assembled, and tickets for the tree will be available beginning December 1. The winner will be pulled on December 18. Thank you for helping the library!

The Gift of Reading Book Fundraiser

To help us provide the newest and greatest book collection for our members, please consider making a donation for the Library to purchase books in your name or in memory of a loved one! Your donation will go directly towards our new book fund. Donate $25 for hardcovers or $15 for children’s books. Click here for details.
